As the final pieces of confetti float to the ground, so too does my time at the NCAA national office.
The last nine months as a media coordination and statistics intern have felt like a whirlwind that featured six different championship events:
🏐 Women’s Volleyball Final Four - Louisville
🏊♂️ 🏃♂️➡️ 🤼 DII Festival - Indianapolis
🏀 NIT/WBIT Final Four - Indianapolis
🏀 Men’s Basketball Final Four - San Antonio
🏒 Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four - St. Louis
🏐 Men’s Volleyball Final Four - Columbus
Whether I was completing championship record books in the office, running to deliver stats to the media in St. Louis or watching the confetti fall in San Antonio, there were endless highlights that made this experience one to remember.
I am forever grateful to Marcus Thatcher, MBA for taking me under your wing as well as David Worlock, Cassie Langdon, Philip Pierce, and Jeff Williams for allowing me to attend these amazing events. Being part of the media coordination team was one of the most rewarding experiences, and I can’t thank you and the rest of the team enough!
Another huge shoutout to all the incredible hard-working individuals that I had the pleasure of meeting in the office or at the events who help make these championships possible every year! I look forward to staying in touch with everyone and crossing paths at more championships down the road!
